I'm trying my hand for the first time in the MSS Block Party! I had a lot of fun playing with their image! Here is what I came up with:
I colored the lower section of the image with Copics using a 'flick' method I found. I was trying to get a tulle sort of look. Then I added some pearl adhesives from OTC and a little ribbon! I had a lot of fun creating this card! I have a feeling I'll get a lot of use out of the dress image! Thanks for looking!

Mother's day!
I'm starting to put together my Mother's Day project for my mom. That I cannot post just yet but I will post the card I made for her! I thought I'd combine a couple of challenges. First it's sketch week over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog. I just love playing with Bugaboo stamps! Second over at Krafty Girls is Challenge #6 Dear Mother. Here is the sketch:
and here is what I created:
I really like how it turned out! It's not your typical Mother's Day color scheme but I just love love this paper! and the butterfly went perfectly! The paper is Echo Park and the butterfly is from Bugaboo Stamps that I colored it with my copics (some borrowed actually from mom!). I used my very old Creative Memories Oval cutting system to cut the ovals. And actually I believe the jagged border is also from CM from A LONG time ago! I inked it with Technique Tuesday ink to better match the color (it was ivory to start). I finished it off with some glitter rub ons from Lil' Davis Designs and a little doodling! Happy early Mother's Day mom! Can't wait to post the real present!

Communion Card #2
What a beautiful day! I put together a quick little First Communion card for a little neighbor girl (I say little...she's in 2nd grade!). I would like to enter it in Get Inspired with ChatterScene Just Elements Challenge #3. I LOVE LOVE just grabbing things from my stash instead of making extravagant cricut creations....so I had a lot of fun with this card! Simple, pretty and to the point! I'm loving using these vellum quotes too. I got them years ago and never think to look through them!
Supplies:
Oriental Trading Company - pearl adhesives
The Paper Studio - brads, flowers
Best Occasions Everyday Blessings Vellum Quote Pack
D'vine Swirl embossing folder

Ek Success - Cupcake chain border punch

First Communion Card
I cannot believe my 8 year old is making his first communion this weekend! I love making cards for him because he really truly appreciates them. He has saved every last card I've ever made him! He loves to scrapbook with me and create just about anything. I really like how this card turned out. It's so simple...and I think it's totally gorgeous!
I just tied a piece of ribbon into a cross and added some adhesive pearls (from OTC). The cross was a bit tricky as I had to play with it a bit to get it to look right. I plan to make a couple more for 2 more kids also making their communion (girls so I can spice it up a bit!)

My first action wobble!
I won these action wobbles a few weeks ago and have been itching to try them out! I love love love them! I decided to make a birthday card for a few challenges:
Die Cuttin Divas challenge #60 - Use pastels
Wobble Wednesday Challenge #5 - Circles
Here is what I created:
I could not for the life of me get a good picture of it wobbling....but below is a picture of me at least showing that I can rotate it!
I'm really happy with my first action wobble! Super easy and super fun! I cut the butterfly with Create a Critter at 3.5 inches, added a Peachy Keen face and some doodling. All in all, pretty easy card!

Diaper Gift Card Holder
I'm in love with my new little project! A friend of mine 'ordered' a new baby gift card holder. I decided not to make my typical one and think outside the box a little. I'm very limited on cricut cartridges that have baby cuts so I thought why not make a diaper card! No cricut necessary! I'm really happy with how it turned out! It was a lot of trial and error with measurements so I'll have to make a second one and post a tutorial, because I have a feeling I'll be making a lot more of these!
The card itself is 5x7. It was fairly simple to make once I had some good measurements.
Supplies:
Cloud 9 Designs - striped paper
ek success - scallop diamond border punch
Studio G - sentiment and ink
Dashes, Dots and Checks - ribbon
Oriental Trading Company - blue adhesive pearls
Copic BV04 Blue Berry (to color the safety pin)
Avery self adhesive business card holders
Safety pin I've had FOREVER, it was just in my stash of randomness
I'd like to enter it in the following challenges:

I picked up a Freebie Friday image from Bugaboo stamps and got to work! I'd like to enter it in the Catch the Bug April's Anything Goes Challenge. Here's what I created!
The image is 'Theodore' from Bugaboo stamps and I colored him with my Copic Markers. The ribbon is from Celebrate It and I added some pearl adhesive accents from OTC. The border was cut with my ek success scallop diamond border punch. Pretty simple! But SOO fun!

Class of 2012
Growing up I had a regular baby sitting job for 1 little girl. From the time I turned 16 to the time I graduated college I baby sat for her every Saturday morning while her mom went to work and her dad either went hunting or fishing. I'm blown away that she is graduating this year (and that somehow those 18 years of my life have passed!). So I created a card for her. I think it turned out pretty darn cute!
The card measures 6.5" x 5". I cut the girl from Everyday Paper Dolls at 4". I added a Peachy Keen face (Everyday Character Assortment) to her and some adhesive pearls from OTC for earrings. The background star is from Gypsy Wanderings. The 2012 stickers are super old from my stash....from Frances Meyer Inc.

Baby Girl Shaker Card
I cannot tell you how happy I am with how this card turned out! My sister needed a card for a friends baby shower. The coworkers were throwing her a 'sprinkle' at work. My first thought was a shaker card. It did not turn out as 'sprinkly' as I imagined but I love love love it!
I got the digital stamp from May Brit's Hobbyblogg. I wanted to find a super cute baby girl stamp and I could not pass this one up! I colored her with Prismacolor Pencils and added stickles to her little blanket to sparkle it up a bit.
I used George and Basics to create the frame and embossed it with Swiss Dots. The background red is embossed with D'vine Swirl and finally the ribbon is from Celebrate It!
I'm entering this card in the Fashionista Challenge #1 anything goes for girls
