Die Cuttin Divas Challenge!

I can't believe another week has flown by! The kids only have 6 more weeks until the first day of school! Summer's half over!

But Tuesday means another challenge over at Die Cuttin Divas! This week we want to see 'SWEET TREATS' on your projects. I just love using summer sweet treats. Here is what I made.

One of our little neighbor girls is having her 6th birthday next month so I wanted to get on the ball and make her a little something. I decided to sway away from Sweet Treats cart and use Just Because Cards. I actually used my gypsy to cut a circle out of the middle of the gum drop container so I could put my own in! Gosh I tried EVERYTHING to make it look like gum drops and came up short. I used a piece of vellum over top which might be the problem. It wasn't as transparent as I expected. I opted to use glitter though and think it still came out pretty darn cute!!!

I inked all of the edges, used stickles on the container top and Glossy Accents on the white strip. The tag is from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More and used a stamp from Stampendous. I popped the tag, tied a little feathery ribbon to it and doodled around the edges! I cannot wait to give it to her!!

We'd love for you to play along in our challenge! Go HERE to enter your SWEET TREAT project!!!

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge

Welcome to another Die Cuttin Divas Tuesday Challenge! This week we want to see your shaped cards! Make any shaped card except for a square or rectangle! I decided to take advantage of using my moms expression while on vacation since my personal cutter doesn't make very big cards :( Time for an upgrade I think! So while thinking of what to make my sister said she needed a birthday card for her nieces 2nd birthday. So I jumped right on that! Here is my creation!
This was actually a pretty simple card. I used Sweet Treats for both the number 2 and the crown and welded their shadows together with my gypsy. I did want to glam it up a little so I used glossy accents on the crown and sprinkled it over with some glitter! I finished with some doodling around the edges and the sentiment sticker was from my moms stash.

I'd love to see your shaped card! Go HERE to enter in our challenge!!

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge

Happy Tuesday! It's time for another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge. This week it's all about summer fun! I'd love to see what you come up with! I used this opportunity to create a layout from yes, back in 2007! My middle guy was playing with bubbles (he was about 2.5 at the time) and had the wand too close to his mouth. I snapped this picture! Here is my project!

I was on vacation this past week so I felt like I was in a bit of a funk. Hopefully the picture steals the show here! I used Plantin Schoolbook for the grass and Create a Critter for the worm. I much prefer using Peachy Keen stamps for the face over the generic one on the cartridge. This particular one is from the Everyday Character Face Assortment. I also used the ek success photo corner punch to highlight the picture a bit. The flower and the corner accent at the top of the page were from my moms stash and I believe the bubble border punch is fiskars. I used glossy accents (I can't get enough of this stuff!!!) to make the corner accent pop!

I'd love to see your SUMMER FUN project so link it up HERE!

Die Cuttin Divas July Sketch Challenge

Good morning friends! I cannot believe how busy I've been! I mean I was fully aware that my projects would be few and far between with school out but WOW, I have really been slacking! I'm on vacation this week so hopefully I can pull some more projects together!

This week though over at Die Cuttin Divas we had our monthly sketch challenge. I LOVE sketch challenges! and this one was just gorgeous! Take a look!

and here is what I decided to do!

I think my little card turned out adorable! I'm really happy with it!

All of the cuts are from Sweet Treats! I embossed the happy birthday layer with Swiss Dots folder and the circle with D'vine Swirl. I inked the edges of both flower layers and added some bakers twine. The ice cream sundae is popped from the card and I added stickles around the edge for some bling! I guess this really isn't a standard card since it doesn't open. I plan to cut another smaller flower layer in white, write my happy birthday note on it and then attach it to the back. This will most definitely be hand delivered :)

Hope you join us for our challenge this week! I'd love to see your take on the sketch. Click HERE to link up your project!!! Have a great week!
