Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #67

Welcome to another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge!  This week is ANYTHING GOES!!!  How easy!  Make any project you like making sure you use a die cut!  I decided to make a set of coasters for my mom for Mother's Day.  I found a few tutorials on the internet on how to make tile coasters and after a lot of patience I think they turned out cute!
I started with 4 smooth ivory tiles from Home Depot and printed out my pictures on tissue paper.  I covered the tiles with a coat of Modge Podge.  CAREFULLY laid the pictures on the tile and put another coat of Modge Podge.  I think all in all I put 4 coats of MP on, letting the tiles thoroughly dry in between each coat.  I cut out the words from Home Accents Cartridge on adhesive vinyl and Modge Podged them again!  I topped the tiles with a couple coats of varnish and hot glued cork to the back.  I love how they turned out!  A new Christmas present idea!!

Happy Friday!  I'm back today with a card for the Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Sketch Challenge.  I am totally in love with this stamp!  Here is the sketch:
And my take on the sketch:

The image is Flower Jar from Bugaboo Stamps and colored with Copics.  The sentiment is from Peachy Keens PK-288 Skunk Cheer Up Set.  All of the paper is from DCWV The All Dressed Up Stack.  The scallop frame was cut from Gypsy Wanderings and popped with foam dimensionals.
The inside sentiment is from Stamps by Judith

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge

We're back with another Die Cuttin Divas Challenge!  This week we want to see banners, buttons and/or birthday projects!  This week our sponsor is 3 Girl JAM.  Be sure to link up your project by Monday May 28th for your chance to win an amazing prize!

For my project, I decided to make a layout using all 3 of the b's!
This was a pretty basic layout to put together.  I LOVE using banners!  I think they are adorable!  I cut the pennants from Sports Mania, punched some small holes in them and weaved them with baker's twine.  I grabbed a few buttons from OTC for the ends.
I cut the balloons from Create a Critter and the number 3 from Sweet Treats cart.  I glossed up the balloons with Glossy Accents and added some Studio G sparkle glue to the number.  Then I just added a bit more baker's twine.  I used Cupcake Chain border punch from ek success for the cupcakes and topped them with adhesive pearls from OTC.
I actually made one of the picture mats a pocket to hold his birthday party invitations.  I save everything..EVERYTHING!  So I wanted them to be a part of his page!  And I'm not sure if you can see it but in the bottom right corner I also write their well check stats.  At 3 years he was 33 lbs and 39 1/4 inches!

We would love to see what you create that has buttons, banners and/or a birthday theme!  Be sure to link up HERE for your chance to win a prize from our sponsor 3 Girl JAM!

Supplies:

DCWV The Celebration Stack
Create a Critter Cartridge
Sweet Treats Cartridge
Sports Mania Cartridge
Bakers Twine
Glossy Accents
Studio G Glitter Glue
EK success cupcake chain punch
EK success scallop diamond border punch

Thornapple Rocks!

I FINALLY had time the other night to sit down with my kids and have THEM create something!  They bug me no less than a dozen times a day to 'scrapbook' with me!  I love it!  So I'm glad I get to participate in the Crafting with Kids May Challenge which is For the Teacher or Grad.  My oldest loves making cards for his teacher and with the end of the school year approaching we jumped right on it.  Here is what he made (and is quite proud!)

I'm actually surprised by what he had in mind.  His classroom mascot is a monkey and I figured he'd go with that theme.  But he went with a school theme (Thornapple).  The only part I did was cut the apple.  He came up with EVERYTHING else on his own and put it together (and searched for stickers and cleaned up!).

I am very excited about this Crafting with Kids Challenge!  and Nathan is very excited he can enter :)

Thanks a Bunch

I'm still playing with some of my goodies I collected at the Great Lakes Mega Meet last weekend!  I just finished sorting through my craft room, moving things around, taking stuff out, putting stuff in, hanging storage on the walls, trying to fit more paper in my organizer.  So with that done I sat down for a little bit to do some coloring!  I think I doubled my Copic supply in just one day!  I took an image from The Alley Way Stamps, combined it with a sketch from Made Especially For You, used 'just elements' and came up with this card:

I think it turned out cute!  I'm not sure if a group of mushrooms is called a bunch but I can only assume the recipient won't know either!  I will reiterate how much I LOVE decorating the inside of my cards!  This will be a regular occurrence!

Supplies:
The Alley Way Stamps (TAWS) - Fun-gi digital stamp
Echo Park This & That paper stack - paper on front cover
Jillibean Soup - ribbon,  paper on inside of card
Studio G - ink for edges
Stamps by Judith - Sentiment, brown ink
Copic Markers

Time to tee off!

Boy am I itching for summer weather!  and golf!  We have a 50th birthday party to go to this weekend and our friend is a pretty big golfer so I thought I'd go with that sort of 'summery' theme since I'm sure he'll get enough 'over the hill' cards!

I've been waiting for my Peachy Keen order before I put this card together.  Low and behold, it came at about 1pm today!  I LOVE LOVE the Cloudy Day background stamp.  WOW LOVE it!  The face on the cloud is from The Cornies Face Assortment.  The clouds and grass cuts came from Create a Critter and the golf accessories are from Everyday Paper Dolls.  I also used my new Creative Inserts that I bought at the Great Lakes Mega Meet.  Such a cool little accessory for your Cricut.  I outlined the cuts with the markers, then cut them out.  I think it gives it a cool kinda look!

I'd like to enter my card into the Scrappy Moms Stamps Terrific Tuesday Challenge - Summer Vacation and Peachy Keen Challenge 17 - Sketch.

Princess Layout!

Very rarely do I create girly projects!  and to be honest this was HARD for me!  But this is a layout that went into the 'holiday' scrapbook for my friend.  and I LOVE how it turned out!
She had only given me 1 or 2 pictures from her 1st birthday so I figured I'd do up the page Cinderella style!

Supplies Used:
Cricut Cartridges: Paper Doll Dress Up, Accent Essentials
DCWV The Celebration Stack
Sandy Lion: Princess Stickers
Paper Bliss: It's your day banner
Imaginisce: Paper Flowers
Eyelet Outlet: Pearl Brads
Studio G glitter glue
White Gelly Roll Pen

I'd like to enter my layout into Amanda's Crafts and More: Getting Scrappy Challenge: Let's Celebrate Come on!  and The Paper Girls Challenge Blog Challenge #7 : Sketch

Martini birthday!

I made this card with a certain friend in mind. She has a strong love for martinis and her birthday is next week so I had to go with the theme! Here is what I created!

The martini is from From My Kitchen cartridge and the frame is from Gypsy Wanderings.  I glossed up the star on the glass with Glossy Accents and added some adhesive pearls from OTC.  The background paper is from DCWV The All Dressed Up Stack (LOVING this stack!) and I rounded all of the corners.  I added an action wobble to the martini shown below!  LOVE these things!!  I think she'll get a kick out of it too!

and I tried to get a picture of the glass in motion.

I'm entering my card into Wobble Wednesday's Challenge - Use the color purple, and Cute Card Thursday - food or drink.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge

It's Tuesday which means it's time for another Die Cuttin Divas challenge!  This week we want to see flowers on your projects!  Just be sure to use a die cut!  Here is what I created:
I did a lot of coloring this past weekend while I was at the Great Lakes Mega Meet.  I'm happy to be able to use one of my 'samples'!  I'm really enjoying using digital stamps lately so any chance I get to pop one on my projects I take it!  The adorable stamp is from Bugaboo and I colored it with my copics.  I matted it on a tag cut from Gypsy Wanderings.  The tag is also cut from Gypsy Wanderings.  The sentiment is a Studio G stamp and I got some new ink this weekend from Stamps by Judith.  Finally I added some brads from OTC.  The paper is from Recollections Neutral paper stack.  The background paper though is actually part of a card I received a long time ago (is that cheating?!)  I save just about everything and this print I thought was adorable!
I'd love to see what you can create with FLOWERS!  Be sure to link up your project HERE for a chance to win a prize from our sponsor Circle B Enterprises!

Die Cuttin Divas Challenge #64

Hi friends!  I have some exciting news!  I've been asked to be a part of Die Cuttin Divas design team again!  I am so very excited!  So here is my project for my first week back on the job!  It's a color challenge!  Use purple, black and orange.  Of course I immediately thought Halloween!  and with 3 kids and being so behind in their albums I have plenty of page options!  So here is the layout I created:

The title and monster are cut from Mini Monsters.  The tree, cat, pumpkins, spider, ghost, and bat are all cut from Paper Doll Dress Up.  I absolutely love this cart for Halloween cuts!  I've used it A LOT!  I 'hung' my spider from the tree with some bakers twine and used a foam square to pop him a bit.  I added a Peachy Keen Face to my ghost - PK 440 Cute and Cuddly Face Assortment!

I had a lot of fun creating this layout!  I'd love to see what you create using purple, black and orange over at Die Cuttin Divas.  Be sure to submit your projects HERE for a chance to win an awesome prize!!

Teacher Appreciation

I'm so excited to share with you my entry for the Peachy Keen Challenge #16 - 3D projects SOUPer Fun!  I saw this idea on Pinterest for Teacher Appreciation week and thought this was the perfect time to try it out!  I'm a pretty practical person so I wanted to think of something that she could use but was still teacher cute!  and of course homemade!  Here is what I created :)
I love love it!  I started with the an empty tomato paste can and hot glued pencils all around it.   It took 31 pencils total.
I cut the crayons from My Community and the apple from Plantin Schoolbook.  I stamped the apple with PK490 Everyday Character Face Assortment.  I cut the frame from Gypsy Wanderings, used stickers from DCWV and stamped a PK-440 Cute and Cuddly Face on it!  I used paper from DCWV Grade School Stack (such adorable prints!)

I thought long and hard on what to fill it with.  Flowers, candy, but it came down to coffee pods!  As a class we got her a Keurig for Christmas so I figured she can always use pods :)  Although it didn't hold many, 6 maybe?  I made a pocket in the frame so I could also include a gift card.  My boys are already fighting over who gets the first 'prototype'!  Now they want me to use colored pencils!  I think it turned out pretty cute!  and somewhat practical!  Thanks for looking :)

Peachy Flowers!

I'm back today with a super adorable card!  I love how colorful it turned out!  I'm playing along in this week's Peachy Keen Challenge #15 - Just cards and create your own background.  I had a lot of fun with this!

I tried to make the background more like a frame around the cutout flowers.  I tried all sorts of different background ideas and this one really caught my eye!  Originally I wanted to heat emboss it but apparently my house is FULL of static because the powder was sticking everywhere.  I also tried to stamp the skunk from the Skunk Cheer up set and color him in to use but my Copic collection is not the greatest yet....so flowers it is!
This is also the first time I've 'decorated' the inside of the card and I must say I LOVED IT!  I will be doing this more often!  I think the sentiment on the inside looks so much better than if I tried to cram it on the front.

Supplies:
PK-288 Skunk Cheer Up Set
PK-440 Cute & Cuddly Face Assortment
Forever Young Cartridge
Recollections Animal Kingdom paper pad
Copic Markers
White Gelly Roll Pen
