Is there such thing as Christmas in March?!  I have yet another Christmas layout for that holiday scrapbook I'm putting together.  Over at Frosted Designs, they are having a fabulous Friday challenge to use grids on your project.  Here is what I came up with.
I love these colors!  I'm really happy with how it all came together!

I actually made this a double layout.

A Sporty Layout!

I put together a pretty simple layout this weekend.  I'm loving the browns!  I decided to steer clear of the usual birthday colors.

I decided to go cricut-less again!  I had a bunch of little embellishments from Paper Bliss that really added to the page!  I used some photo corners for a birthday invitation that I didn't want to adhere permanently.  The button is from Oriental Trading Company and I tied some bakers twine to it.  I also inked the edges of the papers....and that's it folks!  Easy peasy!

Halloween Layout

I've been checking off Halloween layouts lately!  I'm still making this holiday scrapbook for a friend and needed to get in the spirit!  The other LO's I have done for her book were pretty detailed with lots of cricut cuts so I decided to make this one 'pretty simple'.  Really though I'm not sure I know how to do that!  Here is what I came up with.
I love how bright it turned out!  The 2 pictures will go along the vertical purple paper.  I went with a lot of purple because the little girl was dressed as a butterfly this particular year and it really looks great on the LO!

Supplies used:
Lyrical Letters Cartridge - frame cutout
Life's Little Occasions - BOO and Spooky embellishments
Celebrate It! - Purple Ribbon
Oriental Trading Company - adhesive jewels, button
Fiskars Border Punch
Baker's Twine

Lemon Scrub Cheer Me Up

Today's project was inspired by a mom/friend in my local mother's group who recently found out she has breast cancer.  I have been a mix of emotions.  She is in her early 30's.  I can't imagine what she is going through as I sit here unable to absorb it myself.  Our mother's group is fantastic, supportive, dependable, inspirational.  This woman is having surgery on Monday.  I wanted to make her a little something, a goody bag of sorts to at least let her know I'm thinking and praying for her.  Along with baked goods and freezer meals I came up with this little gift.

My sister made each of us this sugar scrub for Christmas and I absolutely loved it.  I made it for all of the kids teachers for Valentine's Day.  I cannot say enough good things about this recipe!  I found it HERE.  And I could not believe how well the Peachy Keen Skunk Cheer Up Set went with the 'theme' of the gift!

I made the tag by just cutting a piece of chipboard and rounding the edges with the Creative Memories Oval cutting system.  Then I matted it with paper from Heidi Grace Designs.   The skunk, sentiment and flowers are all from Peachy Keen's Skunk Cheer Up Set.  I stamped the skunk on printed paper and colored parts of it with Copic markers.  I used the Recollections border punch and used a pearl pen by Viva Decor to accent it a bit.
I tied the spoon to the jar using ribbon from The Ribbon Boutique.  I know this gift won't fix the given situation but hopefully she knows we are all here for her and praying for the best possible outcome.

I'd like to enter my project in the following challenges.

Monkey Business

I'm on a layout spree lately!  I'm creating a holiday scrapbook for a friend (birthday, Halloween, Christmas) and came to her son's 2nd birthday which had a monkey theme.  Here is what I created!

I think it turned out adorable!  Her invitation is going to go on the brown mat and since she only had 1 left she didn't want it glued down so I used some photo slits there.  I also popped the flowers from the page with foam squares.  The monkeys are from Paper Bliss but I added the party hats!
